Tapang’s Stores in Sihanoukville
Tapang’s on Serendipity Beach Road
This is our first store opened in 2006. It was originally a small wooden shop very close to the beach but with the massive development to our seaside town we had to relocate in 2008 to a permanent spot at the top of the hill. This shop has the full range of products available at Tapang’s and is open everyday from 10am to 8pm.
Tapang’s at Sandan
With the opening of Sandan, M’Lop Tapang’s Vocational Training restaurant, it enabled us to add a second store to Sihanoukville. Tapang’s in Sandan offers a smaller range of the best sellers due to its size. The shop is open everyday from 11am to close of the restaurant which is usually around 9.30pm to 10pm as the hospitality students have to be driven home at a safe time. So while you dine in one of the best restaurants in Sihanoukville you can also shop in one of the best stores in Sihanoukville.
Here are a few photographs of our humble beginnings. We were one of only three stores on the then dirt track. It certainly has changed since then. The profit raised from sales in the Tapang’s stores over the years helps to run the M’Lop Tapang Vocational Training Center offering youth aged from 15 to 22 years of age the chance to gain a viable skill to improve their opportunities to become independent members of our community.
Our brilliant Tapang’s staff will always greet you with a big smile and advise on how our products are made. As well as selling Tapang’s products they are also there to answer questions you have about M’Lop Tapang. All our staff are Cambodian and are selling in their second language so please be gentle with them, some words they do not understand. If they do not know the answer to your question they will ask you to email it to firstname.lastname@example.org where someone will be able to reply quickly.
Tapang’s in and around Cambodia
As well as our stores in Sihanoukville you can find our products within our partners stores around Cambodia. Some only have a small selection but if you leave Sihanoukville and wish you had purchased that beautiful bag, you may still be able purchase it while traveling around the Kingdom of Wonder.
We recommend visiting these stores to check out the other amazing products available in Cambodia. Most of the products in these stores are Cambodian made rather than sourced from Thailand, Vietnam or China. If you are lucky enough to take a tour of this amazing place I’m sure you want to take a piece of it home with you and it’s a whole lot better if the product was made by Cambodians and helps cambodians rather than the cheaper mass produced items you can buy in the markets.
